Hi there, my name is Marize however you can call me MJ.  I am originally from South Africa and lived in New Zealand for nearly 20 years.  I moved to Melbourne 3 years ago.  I am a registered Oral Health Therapist and I look forward to providing you and your family with my special scope of oral care.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science and specialized in Oral Health, which means I am specially trained in paediatric dentistry but also in prevention and treatment of oral diseases that negatively affect the whole body.  My practitioner focus is on child developmental oral needs and how to manage the little ones in an often confronting environment in addition to how our overall health is linked to our oral health.  Your dental hygiene session will now also be guided by me in the most up to date and researched manner to ensure that your dentist and I together, provide you with optimum care.  The bonus is that your mouth will now feel better than ever!  I have 10 years’ experience as an oral health practitioner and I also train oral health therapists and dental students at The University of Melbourne.  In my spare time I am a movie geek and love mountain biking and hiking.  I look forward to meeting you and assisting you and your dentist with your oral health.
